I am a native of Kyoto.
The city’s enduring cultural heritage has taught me the value of preserving history.Rather than chasing fleeting trends, I seek to build a city that is deeply rooted in its history, reflecting the unique character of the land and its people.That philosophy is at the core of my work.
It’s crucial to distinguish between honoring history and being trapped by it, though.Due to the high stakes involved, this work is often subject to various constraints and regulations. The path to realizing our ideals is rarely as straightforward as we imagine, particularly when we strive for something truly groundbreaking.

To abandon our ideals is simple. The challenge lies in finding the means to bring them to fruition.Our days are a constant test of our capabilities. We are required to possess a broad knowledge base, a multifaceted perspective, and a keen sense of perception.To be honest, there’s no time to wear a calm facade. Yet, I’ve never once felt it was a burden.For each day brings the thrill of discovering something new.Keep moving forward. Ever faithful to our core values, yet always open to new possibilities.

My mind is full of wonder.
For example, I wonder why the view from the first floor is so different from that of the top floor.Is there a way to provide a similar view for everyone, regardless of which floor they’re on?What if we could design an apartment building that rotates like a Rubik’s Cube, allowing residents to enjoy different views?I’d like to approach this with a completely open mind, even if it seems unconventional.
Because, if it comes to fruition, it will surely bring joy to someone. It will surely contribute to someone’s happiness.Without it, even a project worth 1 trillion yen would not excite me.

The dream of creating work that inspires and amazes others is a beautiful one, but the reality is far more complex. We need to generate revenue to keep the business running. This includes funding for hiring top talent and investing in employee development.We stand at the crossroads of aspiration and reality. It’s a challenging journey,but one filled with exhilarating possibilities.
